Scanning and Indexing with GoScan Desktop

Information is everywhere. Sometimes there is so much information that it prevents us from performing our jobs efficiently and effectively. Finding the information you need, when you need it, is a critical key to success.

Important pieces of information can be captured and associated with a scanned image. Once processed, the information can be exported to an electronic filing system or enterprise document management solution. Indexes can be produced by recognizing data embedded in one or two dimensional bar codes that users create within MS Word or other word processing programs. When used in conjunction with GoScan Lite, GoScan Desktopis a simple, smart and secure way to capture information and easily organize it.

SIMPLE
GoScan Desktop is the perfect application for organizations that require powerful results without having to learn or manage complicated technology. After installation, there is minimal configuration required to capture images, recognize index values, and export data. GoScan periodically watches a "hot folder" where images have been deposited. GoScan then exports images and the data captured from them to a network folder, ftp site, or database.

It's that easy.

SMART
If the image GoScan looks at contains a bar code, GoScan will assign the value in the bar code to every image until it sees another bar code coversheet. Bar codes can be placed anywhere on the cover sheet and GoScan will be able to locate the key data.

SECURE
Projects are driven by a need to meet compliancy requirements, new legislation and to remain competitive within the marketplace. Maintaining the integrity of the collected data, certifying the capture process and tracking a user's interaction with the data and the process must be maintained to provide a truly sound scanning environment.
